How does Remark work?
Remark allows faculty to create and print their own custom answer sheets on normal printer paper. Class lists can be imported manually from D2L. (Note: you may need to re-sync D2L and Remark before each test run to sync students who have added or dropped the course.)
When creating an answer sheet in Remark, you can create true/false questions, assign point values to questions, or add open-ended questions. You can also import existing quizzes from D2L.
When your students have completed their tests, you can scan the tests using any scanner and email the PDF to score@mail.remark.cloud or upload the PDF to the Remark dashboard.
Each answer sheet has a barcode that identifies the answer sheet with your account and the specific test. Answer keys can be completed on a paper sheet and scanned in with the rest of the tests or answers can be added in the Remark dashboard.
How do I receive reports?
Reports with individual and class performance can be downloaded as a PDF from the Remark dashboard.

Do my students have to use a #2 pencil?
No! Because Remark uses computer vision instead of optical scanning, as long as there is a dark mark in the circle, Remark will pick it up. If Remark is not sure which answer a student marked, it will be flagged as an exception and you can manually review and update their score.
