As is done each semester, there will be a test of our emergency notification system on Wednesday, February 17, at 10:00 a.m. The test will include text messaging, voice calls, email, and desktop alerts. Testing of the public address system will come at a later date.
The email will go to everyone in the @iup.edu email system, and will include information on how to sign up or verify information on Ä¢¹½tv's emergency notification system. This system is reserved for critical safety and security messages, including weather emergencies. Step-by-step instructions to update information or to register are available on the Emergency Notification System site. This page also provides information on registering for the free Everbridge app on a mobile device.
Parents, family members, and community members who wish to receive emergency messages are welcome to sign up for the system by texting iupalert to 888777.
