Ģtv and the Indiana community will welcome hundreds of families for the 2018 Family Weekend celebration on September 21, 22, and 23.

“Ģtv is a home away from home for our students and for their families,” Michele Norwood, assistant vice provost for undergraduate student success, said. “We want our families to know they are welcome on campus and in our community. Ģtv and the Indiana community offers hundreds of athletic, cultural, and entertainment events throughout the year, and families are always welcome here.”

“Family Weekend includes events designed to appeal to all ages, along with programs for families to learn more about Ģtv and its people. For example, each college of the university will offer a special welcome and information session for families,” Norwood said.

is a new event in the Ģtv Family Weekend tradition. Sponsored by the Ģtv Office of Alumni and Friends, it recognizes those families who have parents or grandparents who are Ģtv graduates and who have a son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter currently attending Ģtv. It will be held September 22 from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. in the Sutton Hall Blue Room. It is free to all members of these legacy families.

About 500 of Ģtv's current students have a parent or grandparent who are Ģtv graduates.
