Marquee for the Indiana TheaterStudents working with Ä¢¹½tv’s Office of Annual Giving have organized Indiana Scares & Cares: A Spooktacular Ä¢¹½tv Student Aid Screening, at the , on October 14 to raise funds to support Ä¢¹½tv students and collect donations for the Ä¢¹½tv Food Pantry and Help Center and the Ä¢¹½tv Crimson Closet.

This is a family-friendly event, open to all ages.

The film Halloweentown will be shown at 7:00 p.m. at the theater. There is no fixed admission charge, but monetary donations or donations for the Food Pantry and Help Center or Crimson Closet are requested. . 

Items needed for the Ä¢¹½tv Food Pantry and Help Center are nonperishable food items, hygiene products, gently used clothing, and school supplies.

Items needed for the Crimson Closet are any type of business wear as well as accessories (jewelry, work bags, portfolios, belts, ties, and shoes).

Ä¢¹½tv opened the Food Pantry in 2019; it expanded to the current Food Pantry and Help Center in 2021 and offers food items, toiletries, and school supplies. Alumni, friends, and students, including a number of student groups, continue to support the Food Pantry and Help Center with both monetary donations and supplies. The Food Pantry and Help Center is located in and is coordinated by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs.

Ä¢¹½tv’s Crimson Closet is coordinated by faculty members Aleea Perry (Department of Political Science) and Nancy Hutchinson (Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance). It is a free business wear and casual clothing resource for students.

Door prizes will be given out during the Spooktacular event; attendance in costume is encouraged, but not required.

“This event is a first for Ä¢¹½tv, especially with a focus on student giving,” said Alexa Zacek, Ä¢¹½tv Annual Giving coordinator. “We are excited to host this event and have all of Indiana come together to support our students through various ways. All gifts are appreciated and will directly help our students succeed in their studies and lives here at Ä¢¹½tv,” she said.
