The presidential search committee conducted two open forums on Friday, September 9, 2011, in the HUB Ohio Room. Search consultant John Thornburgh from the firm Witt-Kieffer solicited information from faculty, staff, and students in regard to the qualities they would consider critical to the success of the next president of Ä¢¹½tv.

Mr. Thornburgh also asked those in attendance to share their ideas as to Ä¢¹½tv's strengths so that this information can be emphasized when communicating with potential candidates. Responses were thoughtful and insightful.

A meeting of the committee will be held within the next ten days to develop a timeline for the vetting of resumes and the scheduling of interviews.

The committee welcomes input from the university community as we move ahead with the process (send e-mail to rwinters@iup.edu). We will continue to provide updates on the search.
