It’s that time of year! With Spring Break right around the corner and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations to follow, it is incredibly important to make sure that you and your friends are well acquainted with safety and security procedures. To help facilitate that, this year, Ä¢¹½tv is holding Student Safety Week!

This series of events is designed to help students better understand what to do in emergency situations. All of the workshops will require you to by February 28. Below is a list of the events and their dates:

March 3: Stop the Bleed

This training is a course designed to teach individuals how to respond to and stop severe bleeding in emergency situations.

March 4: Narcan and Fire Safety

A session on Narcan, focusing on its importance in combating opioid overdoses. Also, a fire safety hands-on experience using a fire extinguisher simulator. Will cover essential information about the dangers posed by lithium-ion battery fires from devices such as e-scooters, laptops, and cellphones.

March 5: Hands-Only CPR and AED Training

Hands-only CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training is an essential skill for anyone, as it can save lives during emergencies like cardiac arrest.

March 6: Active Shooter

A discussion on the topic of Active Shooter scenarios, including preparedness and response strategies.
