The Strategic Website Assistance Project, or SWAP, remade our department websites to better represent our academic programs, better represent Ä¢¹½tv, and encourage prospective undergraduate and graduate students to inquire for more information, visit Ä¢¹½tv, and apply.
To achieve those goals, SWAP introduced:
- Fresh, professionally written copy based on interviews with department faculty;
- Storytelling through short quotations and photographs emphasizing the outcomes of an Ä¢¹½tv education;
- Improved navigation within each department's program offerings;
- Better use of existing photography and video (and in some cases, the production of new media assets);
- A new page design with highly visible calls to action, links to social media, and improved search engine optimization;
The project began in the spring of 2013 with funding from the president's Strategic Initiative Fund. The project was completed in June 2015.
