All students interested in being a music major or minor are required to audition. Information about auditioning for the Ģtv Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance can be found on our Music Auditions page.

All music majors are eligible for scholarships, which are determined based on your audition.

If you are accepted to Ģtv, you may declare a major in theatre without an audition. Auditions and portfolio reviews are required to be eligible for a Freshman Talent Scholarship.

Kayla Anthony, a recent graduate of Ģtv, originally from Johnstown, has been selected for a Fulbright post-graduate study award.

Greater Johnstown High School Theater Production Features Ģtv Alumni

Greater Johnstown High School presented performances of "Emma," A Pop Musical on March 27 through March 30. Ģtv alumni Hailey Pasquerilla served as the Music Director and Eric Pfeil as the Pit Orchestra Conductor.

Annual High School Theater Production Features Ģtv Alumni

Numerous alumni of Ģtv’s Department of Music participated in Conemaugh Township High School’s recent production of “High School Musical.”

Englestad Presents at 2025 SHE: Festival of Women in Music Conference

Rosemary Engelstad (clarinet professor, Ģtv) and Amanda Morrison (clarinet professor, Slippery Rock University) were selected to perform a recital at the SHE: Festival of Women in Music. At the festival, they performed a recital of music compositions for two clarinets by Theresa Martin (Appleton, WI), including Paradigm Shift, a work commissioned by Morrison (lead commissioner) and Engelstad in 2024.
