Tell me more about being a music major or minor
We offer undergraduate degrees in education (BS) and performance (BFA) as well as a general music degree (BA) that includes an optional focus on the music industry.
Students interested in pursuing a major or minor in music at Ä¢¹½tv will complete an audition or portfolio review prior to beginning studies. You can find out about the process and register for your audition on our auditions page.
Tell me how I can get involved with ensembles at Ä¢¹½tv
At Ä¢¹½tv, students have numerous opportunities to be involved in music through a wide variety of ensembles. Whether you're a music major, minor, or non-major, you can participate in groups like Marching Band, concert bands, choirs, jazz ensembles, orchestras, and more. These ensembles offer a chance to perform in diverse styles, from classical to contemporary, and to collaborate with talented musicians and faculty. Joining an ensemble is a great way to grow as a musician and be part of Ä¢¹½tv’s music community.
You may join the Ä¢¹½tv University Band or University Chorus without an audition. For all other ensembles, auditions occur during the first week of classes.
